BENGALURU: A 21-year-old girl pursuing a postgraduate degree in psychology in a London college was once arrested in Bengaluru on Tuesday on charges of masterminding the homicide of gangster Lakshmana in Mahalakshmi Layout remaining Thursday.
Varshini Harish, the daughter of alleged repeat offender Harish alias Moote Harish and JD(S) leader Padma from Maddur, and her fellow conspirator and boyfriend Roopesh R alias Roopesh Gowda, 25, of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, are amongst 8 suspects arrested for Lakshmana's homicide, police mentioned.
Central Crime Branch police mentioned Raja alias Cat Raja, 31, who was once shot at and detained through police on Saturday, Devaraj alias Kariya, 24, of Nagarabhavi, Varunkumar, 24, of Moodalapalya, Madhukumar, 21, of Bhairaveshwaranagar off Magadi Road, Aloka, 24, of Gopahalli village in Maddur, and contract killer Hemanth Kumar alias Hemi, 30, of Maddur, were additionally arrested in the case.
According to police, Varshini was once Lakshmana's neighbour in Jnanajyothi Nagar, Bengaluru. She arrived in Bengaluru on Monday and was once picked up before she reached her place of dwelling.
