GURUGRAM: The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Project — a brand new double rail line of about 130 km from Palwal to Sonipat — got in-principle approval from the Ministry of Railways. The undertaking has been developed via Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC), the three way partnership company of Ministry of Railways and State government.
The price of the undertaking will likely be round Rs 4100 crore. It will likely be one of those financial corridor, connecting all primary business cities in the state.
The approval will enable the undertaking to undertake more than a few activities like setting up of the workplaces, land acquisition, geotechnical investigations and likewise to procure considered necessary sanctions and clearances for its speedy implementation.
On February 13, a stakeholder’s outreach tournament was once held in Gurugram through which leader minister Manohar Lal spoke about completing the undertaking in 3 years.
He had then stated the orbit rail corridor will provide direct faster connectivity to Gurugram, Faridabad Ballabhgarh, Palwal, Manesar, and Farukhnagar, etc with all the primary cities of Haryana.
“It will spice up business enlargement of cities round Delhi (Sohna, Manesar, Gurugram, Rohtak) and likewise spice up urbanisation of NCR-Haryana,” the minister added.
This undertaking will provide direct rail connectivity, bypassing Delhi, to all the routes originating from the Capital and passing thru Haryana. This will also give connectivity to ‘Dedicated Freight Corridor’ (DFC) network. This rail corridor could have stations at Asaoti, Pirthala, Silani, Sohna, Dhulawat, Chandla Dungerwas, Manesar, New Patli, Badsa, Badli, Mandothi, Kharkhoda, Tarakpur, and Harsana Kalan. The primary stakeholders in this undertaking are the Ministry of Railways, the federal government of Haryana, HRIDC, HSIIDC, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Reliance MET and All Cargo Logistics.
