Lucknow: State government’s School Har Din Aayein (SHARDA) scheme hit an sudden roadblock, after district basic education officials (DBEOs) misinterpreted the instructions for a survey and wrongly also included 59,000 youngsters of up to 5 years of age as faculty drop outs around the state
Under SHARDA initiative, DBEOs have been asked to identify the selection of youngsters who've now not attended faculty for 45 days in a single cross or had never been to college.

The DBEOs needed to identify youngsters between 5 and 14 years of age, after which join them in faculties in the instructional consultation 2019-20. However, the education officers collecting details for the survey wrongly included 59,417 youngsters below the age of five years of their knowledge. These youngsters contain 65% of the overall selection of beneficiaries under SHARDA initiative and are yet to score the minimum age of enrollment in government faculties.

The technique of collecting knowledge for the survey had started in January and was to end by March.

Till March 24, DBEOs had recognized 90,888 youngsters, including 43,083 women. Officials mentioned that the surveyors had misinterpreted the instructions issued by the department. They had wrongly included 59,417 youngsters, below 5 years of age, as faculty drop outs.

Basic education department officers mentioned that the data of children from six to 14 years of age is correct.

Director of basic education department, Sarvendra Vikram Bahadur Singh, mentioned, “The DBEOs misinterpreted the instructions issued in January and collected the unsuitable knowledge. They had been instructed to gather the main points once more for identifying the children above six years of age.”


In a letter to DBEOs, joint education director (basic) Ganesh Kumar, mentioned, “Some children under 5 years of age had been wrongly included. It is expected from all of you to identify youngsters without erring. It is expected from you to take non-public interest in collecting the data.”


As according to the figures collected, recently there are five,107 drop outs between the age of six and seven years in UP.


The youngsters who've never been to college or have been drop outs, can be given special consideration in faculties after enrollment. The evaluate of the selection of out-of-school students enrolled can be done on the finish of the instructional consultation.
