LUCKNOW: Less than two months after he floated his personal political outfit, Hindusthan Nirman Dal, former VHP global president Pravin Togadia on Tuesday dropped wide hints of him contesting from Varanasi parliamentary seat, represented by way of PM Narendra Modi, within the coming near near Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to journalists after pronouncing candidature of 48 applicants, including 26 from UP, Togadia stated that his supporters need him to contest from Varanasi. "We will take a final decision in the near future," Togadia stated. He also announced Manishankar Maurya as his birthday party candidate from Ayodhya, and Ambrishbhai Patel from Gujarat's Gandhinagar seat from the place BJP president Amit Shah is in fray.
The doctor-turned-politician, Togadia stated that his birthday party would contest on more than 100 seats throughout 12 states within the nation. Togadia who floated International Hindu Parishad, slammed the BJP of defaulting on its guarantees, including construction of a Ram Temple in Ayodhya. "Wo unke `chunavi Ram' hai (Construction of Ram temple is nothing more than an election stunt of the BJP," he stated. Togadia also accused the BJP of elevating the problem of nationalism for simply electoral good points. ``Even chaiwala and now chowkidar is an election stunt,'' he stated.
Togadia, who left his scientific practice 21 years ago and was a VHP functionary stated that the his birthday party was committed towards a government of `Hindutva'. "After working at the ground level for more than 40 years, I can say that People have had faith in the Hindutva," he stated.
"We pledge to take on the people who throw stones on our security forces and impose a ban on couples having more than two children,'' he said. ``Nationalism is being discussed a lot these days. For us patriotism is bigger than nationalism," Togadia stated.
