Pune: Girl dies in wrong-side driving accident

PUNE: A 23-year-old feminine pupil of a town school suffered severe head accidents and died after the bike on which she was riding pillion crashed into protection barricades post for road works outdoor Wadeshwar restaurant on Fergusson College road within the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased, Samruddhi Gursale, and the bike rider, Hrushikesh Babar (25), have been proceeding within the flawed route on the road from the Fergusson College gates in opposition to Goodluck chowk. Neither was wearing a helmet. Babar, a photographer, suffered fractures in each arms.

Senior inspector Deepak Lagad of the Deccan Gymkhana police station told IdealNews that Gursale and Babar, residents of Satara, have been living in Pune. Gursale had completed her B.Sc in animation and was pursuing a post-graduation in Japanese from an institute on Fergusson College road.


Lagad mentioned the two, along with two other friends, had dined at a cafe on the road. After that, they chatted for a few hours within the parking space of the restaurant earlier than dispersing round 2.30am.


Lagad mentioned Babar was going at top velocity when he crashed into the barricades. The bike skidded for a few meters after collision and Gursale fell. The police have registered a case in opposition to Babar for rash and negligent riding.


The spot where the twist of fate came about has been dug as much as facilitate building of the footpath and other beautification works underneath the city boulevard construction mission.
