Siddiqui set to contest Darbhanga seat: RJD

PATNA: Keeping aside all speculations, RJD MLA Bhai Virendra on Tuesday stated senior party functionary Abdul Bari Siddiqui can be contesting from Darbhanga parliamentary constituency.

He stated senior functionaries of Mahagathbandhan have already sorted out the problem. “The seat has been given to us and we will be able to quickly make a formal announcement. Darbhanga is our traditional seat and there used to be no scope of any compromise. It is confirmed that Abdul Bari Siddiqui can be contesting from there,” the Maner MLA informed IdealNews on Tuesday.

He added: “In reality, RJD had misplaced the previous Lok Sabha election via an overly skinny margin. We have received that seat a number of instances up to now. It is for the Congress to make a decision the place they are going to adjust Kirti Jha Azad.”


Kirti, who had received the 2014 Lok Sabha election on a BJP price ticket, has lately joined Congress.
