Surat: A surveyor in belongings assessment department of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) was sentenced to two years jail by a unique courtroom here on Monday. The accused was caught accepting bribe of Rs 700 in 2006 for shifting belongings to the brand new owner.
Dilip Presswala was convicted underneath various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and sentenced to two years. He was caught taking bribe from the complainant. He was fined Rs 500 and if he fails to pay it he's going to get one month additional jail.tnn
