IPL 2019: Dhoni 'might' return for CSK's next game, says Raina

HYDERABAD: Suresh Raina said captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni "might" play the next game after lacking Chennai Super Kings's (CSK) six-wicket defeat by Sunrisers Hyderabad within the Indian Premier League (IPL) right here Wednesday.

Dhoni was dominated out of the event with back spasm, paving the way for Raina to shoulder captaincy accountability.

"He (Dhoni) is feeling better. His back was stiff and he might play the next game," Raina said on the post-match presentation rite.

For a team that had won seven of its eight suits this season ahead of Wednesday, the defeat was a wake-up call in keeping with Raina.

"I think it is a very good wake up call."

CSK had been stopped at 132/five once they opted to bat, after which SRH chased down the target with 19 balls to spare.

"I believe we did not put a good score at the board and kept losing wickets. We misplaced too many wickets in between and that's the reason why it value us the sport.


"We must have regarded for partnerships and must have turned around our strike higher. Hence, we had been 30 runs short," Raina said.


Man-of-the-Match David Warner thanked the group for strengthen.


"Great strengthen, despite the fact that there may be a lot of yellow, they're an incredible crowd. Sometimes in our chases we've been a bit of hesitant and that's the reason why I attempted to bat 20 overs.


"I have two beautiful children, one more on the way, and a beautiful wife; and I can't thank them enough. I have fantastic support from over the world and it has been overwhelming here in India," Warner said.
