HYDERABAD: Over 2.17 lakh candidates are all set to seem for the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) on Friday.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) has made elaborate arrangements to behavior the net examination for the second one consecutive 12 months. Eamcet shall be held in 18 test zones and 94 test centres in two periods - 10 am to 1 pm and three pm to 6 pm.
Of the two.17 lakh registered candidates, 1.42 lakh are showing for the engineering test, 74,981 for the agriculture and pharmacy test and 235 showing for both. JNTU-H in a press release issued here on Wednesday said candidates will have to download hall-tickets and seek advice from the test centre given someday before the exam to spot the precise location and path.
"Candidate will be permitted into the examination hall one-and-a-half hour before the commencement of the test. Candidates will not be permitted into the hall once the exam commences," learn the clicking release, adding that candidates would no longer be allowed to go away the test centre until the examination concludes.
It further said that candidates will have to enrol themselves on the test centres by way of completing the biometric process. Candidates have to hand over crammed on-line software forms on the examination halls.
Rules strictly forbid carrying calculators, mathematical/log-tables, pagers, mobile phones, watches every other digital devices and unfastened sheets of paper into the examination hall. "For rough work, a booklet will be provided in the exam hall and it has to be returned to the invigilator once the exam is over," said the discharge.
JNTU-H has urged the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation to run additional buses for the benefit of scholars showing for Eamcet.
