The Niranjani Akhara has expelled Mahamandaleshwar Vairagyanand Giri while the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) has stripped him of his mahamandaleshwar name for acting a ‘mirchi’ (cold) yagna to make sure the victory of senior Congress leader and Madhya Pradesh ex-CM Digvijaya Singh, who used to be pitted towards BJP candidate Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, from Bhopal constituency in the common elections.
