To eliminate irregularities in highway laying tasks, the Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner has ordered the engineering department to follow a procedure — first to finalise a tick list to ensure an entire study used to be executed at the new highway, and the second to ensure engineers visited the spots the place highway used to be laid, to ensure contractors followed norms.
