There were a total of 1,055 deaths due toelectric shocks in the town in the remaining five years, in step with knowledge shared by means of Bescom . On May 20 around 2 am, 14-year-old Nikhil died in Victoria Hospital after he was once electrocuted. Nikhil’s is not the only case.
There were quite a lot of stories of ways small children in the town have fallen prey to electric shocks.
Bescom has now also started growing awareness against electric shocks thru lack of awareness by means of circulating pamphlets on social media and distribution of pamphlets by means of Bescom officers in more than a few spaces. On May 20, Bescom submit a pamphlet on its social media pages titled, ‘Safety of your existence is our priority’ and shared tips for people to steer clear of electric shocks.

There were quite a lot of stories of ways small children in the town have fallen prey to electric shocks.
Last 12 months on May 29, BM had written about how a 15-year-old boy was once left in a comatose situation after he was once electrocuted whilst going for his tuition class. According to the data shared by means of Bescom, the whole selection of deaths due to electric shocks for humans and animals mixed and connected and non-related to Bescom in 2015-16 have been 283, in 2016-17 have been 235, 2017-18 have been 239, 2018-19 have been 283 and in 2019-20 were 15 up to now. Out of those, Bescom states that deaths due to victim’s fault in 2016-17 have been 96, 2017-18 have been 115, 2018-19 have been 149 and in 2019-20 were seven up to now.
