Social activist Harkumar Goswami has filed an FIR with the Barpeta police against the objectors who registered a grievance against his inclusion within the draft National Register of Citizens (NRC), announcing the false grievance questioning his citizenship is a prison offence underneath Section 17 of the Citizenship Act 1955.
