Thane-based mountaineer Anjali Kulkarni, 54, died while descending the Mt Everest on Wednesday evening. She was once part of a six-member expedition that included her husband, Sharad. An expedition organiser said that the couple had finished their summit and have been on their means down when Anjali succumbed because of "energy loss" and "heavy traffic" sooner than achieving Camp IV.
