NEW DELHI: The Eliminator clash between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2019 on Wednesday witnessed prime drama in both innings. Delhi eventually pulled off an exhilarating two-wicket win, but a few arguable and abnormal incidents stole the limelight.
One such incident happened in the final over of the Hyderabad innings. Wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant ran out Deepak Hooda (4) at the non-strikers finish on the second one closing ball of the innings.
IPL Schedule
Trying to steal a quick unmarried after failing to connect with the ball, Hooda whilst completing the run collided with the bowler Keemo Paul in the middle of the pitch.
With Pant hitting the stumps, Hooda was found way wanting his floor. But DC skipper Shreyas Iyer determined to withdraw the run-out enchantment.
Iyer was satisfied to let the batsmen continue, because the collision with the bowler led to Hooda falling wanting his floor. However Pant intervened, asking his skipper to stick to the enchantment, since the umpire had already given Hooda out.
Replays later also confirmed that Pant was proper in asking Iyer to stick to the enchantment, because Hooda was running in the middle of the pitch.
Sanjay Manjerekar mentioned this whilst commentating, that Iyer was being ‘too type’ and Pant did the appropriate factor by means of asking his captain to stick to the enchantment.
SRH, eventually controlled 162/8 and Delhi chased down the target off the second one closing ball of their innings.
