Acting on directives of leader minister Amarinder Singh, the Punjab Police has introduced a policy under which executive workers and informers can be "suitably rewarded" if knowledge equipped through them ends up in seizure of narcotic drugs, psychotropic and regulated elements, and forfeiture of illegally-acquired assets
