Eid ul-Fitr festivities began in the city on Wednesday morning with special prayers at mosques. Around 10,000 other folks gathered for the special prayer on Islamiyah Matriculation Higher Secondary School ground at Karumbukkadai. As arrangements have been made for girls and kids too on the venue, other folks got here in as households, stated representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, which organized the prayer.
