BHUBANESWAR: Realtors underneath the banner of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association (CREDAI), Odisha, alleged that the state authorities refuse registration to completed tasks and treat it as ongoing tasks because of the absence of occupancy certificates.
“The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, (RERA) regulations of Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra say that tasks completed sooner than promulgation of the RERA Act don't come underneath the ambit of ‘ongoing’ tasks. But there is no readability in regulations within the state,” mentioned D S Tripathy, founder member of the CREDAI, Odisha.
The affiliation recommended the state government to frame regulations just like the four different states and approve the finished tasks. “Realtors face a lot of financial problems as they can not promote their homes because of absence of approval. It is not anything but harassment via the issuing agency,” mentioned a member of the affiliation Anil Kumar Agarwal.
They demanded amendments in RERA Act which complicates the registration process of the housing tasks. The government will have to prevent levying irrelevant fees while taking energy of attorney of a land for its development.
