GURUGRAM: The set up of LED streetlights has in the end begun in the town with ward numbers one and 35 after a lengthen of over two months. The complete town might be lined under the venture inside next two months, stated MCG officers.
The venture is being implemented through state-owned Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL). ESSL signed a take care of MCG to install over 48,000 LED streetlights under the nationwide side road lighting fixtures programme in October 2017.

“In the first leg, ward numbers one and 35 had been chosen. The 2nd leg would quilt ward numbers two and 34. This will proceed till the entire town is covered,” stated MCG commissioner Yashpal Yadav.
At present, all primary roads have sodium streetlights and other roads have CFL, T5 and mercury lighting. The venture will help town save 13 million devices of power per 12 months and MCG is anticipating a 45-55% saving on power bills too.
