MANGALURU: There have been three flood-related deaths and 3 deaths due to lightning in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts prior to now 24 hours, in step with the State Emergency Operation Centre, Revenue Department Disaster Management.
The deaths due to lightning have been in Puttur, Moodbidri and Kadaba taluks. A complete of 803 homes have been broken due to floods in the two districts, with DK bearing the brunt at 598. There have been additionally three cattle deaths, two at Karkala and Kundapur taluks in Udupi district, and one in Belthangady in DK.
