KOLKATA: Club GT — the unregistered membership of top rate sports car owners and riders — that used to run social media profiles have pulled down the photographs, posts and tournament data from the platforms on Monday, a day after an twist of fate on NH 6 that took the lifetime of one of their individuals all over a weekly joyride arranged by means of the gang.
The only online presence the membership has is within the form of some unlinked hashtags within the profiles of the individuals and a WhatsApp crew where there were continuous discussions about the way forward for the gang.
Some of the individuals stated it was once a knee-jerk reaction after several of them had been puzzled by means of the police in connection with the Sunday morning twist of fate. However, others claimed it was once carried out to pacify the members of the family of the deceased Shibaji Roy, who had been vocal about the crew and its actions all over Roy’s cremation on Monday.
Parveen Agarwal, one of the founder individuals of the membership, stated, “One of our dear buddies has died in an twist of fate all over a drive. So at this level of time, the photographs and posts at the social media pages, may hurt the feelings of his circle of relatives and for this reason we have now pulled down the posts.”
Agarwal stated, for now, all of the weekend drives stand cancelled.
