Light rains bring mercury down in Delhi

NEW DELHI: It was a pleasant day in the national capital as mild rains in some portions of town brought the mercury down.
The maximum temperature settled at 29.five levels Celsius, seven notches below the season's average, while the minimal temperature was recorded at 19.zero levels Celsius, 3 notches below the traditional, a Met division professional stated.

The humidity oscillated between 82 and 54 according to cent.

The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is considered the professional determine for town, gained 1 mm rains until 8.30 am and then it recorded traces of rainfall until five.30 pm.

Areas below Palam, Lodhi, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded 1.8, 1.four, zero.2 and a couple of.five mm rains respectively until 8.30 AM, the professional stated.

Palam, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded zero.8, zero.8 and 0.2 mm rainfall respectively between 8.30 am and five.30 pm. Lodhi Road recorded traces of rainfall during the same period, the professional stated.

The Met office has forecast overcast skies for Thursday in conjunction with the opportunity of mild rains and thundershowers.


"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 33 and 18 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman stated.
