PATNA: Bihar DGP PK Thakur on Saturday stated 12 police team of workers of the state laid their lives while on duty between September 1 closing year and August 31 this year.

The DGP named the 12 police team of workers as SIs Madan Mohan Sah, Sanjay Kumar Gaud and Qayamuddin Ansari, havildars Munna Kumar Singh and Bipin Kumar Yadav, constables Kuleshwar Choudhary, Krishna Singh, Hari Kishun Ram, Sanjay Kumar Roy, Umesh Mishra and Sunil Kumar Singh and SAP jawan Chumma Singh.
The DGP stated altogether 383 police team of workers had been killed around the country in closing 12 months.
DG (vigilance) Ravindra Kumar and DG (home guards) P N Rai had been amongst a number of senior police officers who attended the serve as.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) also organised separate functions to mark the day.
CRPF's Bihar sector IG M S Bhatia and other officials paid tributes to the entire police team of workers who died while on duty. At SSB's frontier HQ, SSB DIG Sudhir Verma remembered the fallen warriors.
