NOIDA: The visitors police and the Noida Authority are not at the similar web page when it comes to the collection of unlawful parking loads within the town from the place the parking mafia collects a huge quantity.
In a gathering attended by senior police, Noida Authority and district officers on Saturday, the visitors police mentioned that there were just about 300 such spots from the place parking charges have been gathered.
Out of these, 250 spots are unlawful, SP (visitors) Anil Jha mentioned while elevating the issue within the assembly.
However, the overview of the Authority was starkly other with officers of the Noida Traffic Cell (underneath Noida Authority) claiming that the collection of such unlawful parking spots is best about 75. According to Noida Authority, they had passed over an inventory of 41 authorized parking spots to the visitors police. These are in Sectors 1,2,3,four,6,eight,15,16,16 A, 18, 25, 27, 29, 30,50, 51, 62,63, 64, 33 A, 54, 57, 58-59, 59-60, 61, 80, 110, 124, 126, 127, 132 and 135.
SP (visitors) mentioned that though the visitors police is expected to act on illegally parked spaces, it has best six cranes to tow such vehicles.
In the assembly, Noida Authority chairman Alok Tandon advised to SSP Love Kumar that an FIR be lodged in opposition to the parking mafia.
However, police expressed helplessness asking why the Authority does not plan for parking ahead of sanctioning a challenge.
"We had complained to the police about illegal parking on plot A-7 in Sector 62. However, no FIR was lodged in the case," Sandeep Chandra, incharge, Noida Traffic Cell, told TOI.
However, the SHO of Sector 58 police station, which takes care of the area, mentioned that there is non-public company working from the plot which has some 3,000 employees.
"The authority should have thought about it before giving the area to the company. The company has 3,000 employees, where are they supposed to park their vehicles? They should have planned for the parking area when the plot was allotted to the company," SHO, Sector 58, Anil Pratap Singh told TOI.
