MLA's charge of ill-treatment baseless, says LG office

NEW DELHI: The administrative center of the lieutenant governor has known as the allegations of ill-treatment through the AAP legislator from Rohtas Nagar, Sarita Singh, as "completely baseless".

LG Anil Baijal's administrative center has refuted media studies saying that all the way through the AAP MLAs' dharna at the LG's secretariat over mohalla clinics on August 30, Singh was denied get right of entry to to drugs and food regardless of being within the seventh month of pregnancy .


According to a statement from the LG's administrative center, "It has been reported that Sarita Singh has alleged that during her stay for nearly seven hours at the Raj Niwas on Wednesday , Lt Governor's office ill-treated her. This allegation of the MLA is completely denied. It is most unfortunate that she has chosen to be quite economical with truth as the facts are completely contrary ."


"The MLAs present in the LG's secretariat were all the time treated with due decorum, protocol and dignity as required to be bestowed upon elected representatives. Water was served to the MLAs regularly . The airconditioning system of the conference room where they were sitting was switched on throughout," it's stated.


The statement additionally identified that the MLAs, including Singh, "were not restricted or stopped from leaving the premises. Sarita Singh chose to stay back in the conference hall on her own while another MLA, Parmila Tokas, did leave. An ambulance with all facilities was also stationed outside Raj Niwas to provide assistance."
