Coimbatore: Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) officers seized Rs 60,000 in a marvel raid performed at a sub-registrar place of work at Mettupalayam on Wednesday.
The DVAC group led by means of DSP Rajesh Kumar got a tip that bribes had been being accumulated at the sub-registrar place of work for registration of paperwork. So the conducted the raid and found unaccounted cash.
The officers arrested Syed Ibrahim, a dealer, and seized the money from him. When interrogated, he confessed that he accumulated the money for sub-registrar Tamilselvan. Syed had accumulated cash from more than a few shoppers.
"More arrests and seizure may follow as the investigation progresses," they mentioned. tnn
