GURUGRAM: A 10-acre high land in Sikanderpur Ghosi, close to Delhi-Gurgaon border and DLF-1, has been cleared of encroachments as part of the anti-encroachment pressure introduced through the MCG.
MCG officers cleared the fencing publish through the encroachers on the land. Even though no illegal buildings have been constructed through the encroacher, the land was once fenced.
"Back in 2008, the village panchayat of Sikanderpur had awarded the 10-acre land parcel on lease to a private individual till 2013. The lease holder, whose lease had expired in 2013, had approached the corporation for extension of the lease which was later declined by the corporation," stated Y S Gupta, joint commissioner, MCG, who led the anti-encroachment team on the site.
According to the officers, the pressure to evict the illegal ownership of the high land through the lessee was once undertaken after the civil courtroom empowered MCG to take action in opposition to the lessee. "It is a huge piece of land at a prime location near Delhi border. The order to clear the land was given by the MCG commissioner after the directions of the court," added Gupta.
Reportedly, the corporation goes to hold out a large anti-encroachment pressure across the town. "There are a huge piece of lands which were encroached upon through individuals and organisations within the town. Many initiatives of MCG are caught because of unavailability of land.
The corporation is due to this fact now making plans to hold out massive anti-encroachment pressure across the town," stated a supply within the corporation.
V Umashankar, commissioner of MCG also knowledgeable in a press commentary that the corporation is enforcing the anti-encroachment initiative throughout Gurgaon.
