PATNA: A dealer used to be shot lifeless in Muzaffarpur on Sunday evening within hours of his visit to a police station for help.
Police mentioned 3 bullets have been pumped into the top of fish dealer Gudri Sahni close to his space in Pitaunjhia village under the Hathauri police station area. The 50-year-old died on the spot.
His family members blamed the homicide on police inactiveness. "He knew about the threat to his life and approached the local police station in the afternoon for help. The policemen just ignored him," Gudri's son Manoj Sahni instructed this newspaper over the phone.
Hathauri police station SHO Dhruv Narayan, on the other hand, mentioned Gudri had no longer lodged a written grievance.
"Gudri had come with a lawyer whose brother-in-law, Luddu Singh, had taken a loan from the lawyer. Since the loan could not be repaid, Laddu had given two bighas of land to the lawyer. Gudri had bought ten kattha of this land from the lawyer, and Laddu was said to be opposed to this deal," mentioned the SHO.
An FIR has been lodged against Laddu and 3 others, who're absconding.
