Now, a woman sub-inspector and more than 10 police personnel are working in the station and they will soon arrest the culprits. We will also form a team to solve the old murder case," deputy commissioner of police (crime) P Perumal stated.
On December 12, 2015, C Mani of Dhanabal Layout at Vardharajapuram close to Singanallur, a soothsayer, was once found dead in a pool of blood at his residence. More than 12 sovereigns of gold ornaments have been missing from the house. Though Singanallur (crime) police interrogated more than 50 people, they might now not crack the case.
In February 2016, decomposed bodies of 60-year-old R Pappathi and her daughter R Geetha, 35, have been found inside of a house on Avinashi Road.
