Coimbatore: Four days after the frame of a seven-year-old woman, who used to be sexually-assaulted and smothered to dying, used to be found, citizens of Kasthurinaickenpudur, near Pannimadai, are feeling insecure. The villagers are accompanying their daughters every time they go out. Some don’t even permit girls to play outside.
“After the Tuesday’s incident, I've stopped going to work as I am feeling afraid to go away my 14-year-old daughter alone. I drop and pick her up from her school,” 34-year-old Chitra, who works beneath the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), told TOI.
