Bagalkot: Excise minister R B Timmapur flagged off 4 new non-AC sleeper buses, provided via the North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) to its Bagalkot division, on the Nava Nagar Bus Stand here on Thursday.
Timmapur, who is also the Bagalkot district in-charge minister, knowledgeable journalists that Rs 37 crore was granted to the NEKRTC for the inside track buses and development of the new bus stand.
North Western Road Transport Corporation chairman Sadanand Danganavar knowledgeable that 80 new buses had been sanctioned to the NEKRTC's Bagalkot division.
Bagalkot MLA H Y Meti, taluk panchayat president Chennanagoudar, deputy commissioner K G Shantaram, ZP CEO Vikas Surlkar, District Congress Labor wing president Sriniwas Ballary, divisional controller Metri, divisional technical engineer Gopalkrishna, Bagalkot depot manager Gasti and assistant statistical officer Navalagund have been present on the occasion.
