Belagavi: Activists of the Bajrang Dal and RSS allegedly assaulted a man who was reportedly transporting pork illegally at Handigund village, Raibaug taluk, on Sunday.
After thrashing Lalsab Bepari, the activists handed him over to police. The Handigund resident was transporting meat in his Tata Ace. It is also alleged that he was slaughtering cows and calves illegally to satisfy the demand for pork.
A case was registered at Harugeri police station.
