DTCP demolishes shops in Heritage City amid protest

However, Sudeep Singh, SHO of DLF-2 police station, refuted the allegations levelled by means of Sherawat. "We were doing our duty and were accompanied by the duty magistrate. There was no use of force by the police," he mentioned. But, the police filed an FIR against 30 unnamed people for blockading the visitors.


"These shops were supposed to be demolished on Wednesday but due to the protest by the residents, we couldn't do it. So we went today and completed the job," mentioned Rajendra T Sharma, district town planner (enforcement).
