NEW DELHI: The Centre has informed states to hire specialist doctors in more than a few fields for rural areas with good pay packets, the salary bills for whom could be footed by way of it, the Lok Sabha used to be knowledgeable on Friday.
Responding to supplementaries, Health Minister J P Nadda stated the states are unfastened to hire professionals comparable to gynaecologists for rural health amenities on a good salary foundation and the Centre pays it.
Seeking to verify greater intake of doctors, five,000 seats were added in clinical schools, he stated.
According to studies, there used to be mere 19 according to cent availability of specialist doctors in the neighborhood health centres (CHCs), especially those in the rural areas, across the nation.
