Raichur: Upset after their parents did not permit their marriage, a minor woman and her 20-year-old lover allegedly dedicated suicide by way of consuming poison in a temple in Yadgir district on Thursday.
While Ambarish, 20, was once a local of Sagar village in Shahapur taluk, the lady was once a category eight pupil. Ambarish worked as an agriculture labourer. The two belonged to the same group and had been in love for the previous six months. The woman's father had lodged a grievance towards Ambarish.
On the intervening evening of Wednesday and Thursday, the two fled their space and took the intense step at a temple in Amareshwar, Lingasuru taluk. The priest found the bodies on Thursday morning and knowledgeable police.
A case has been registered in Shahapur police station.
