Kite festival begins in Belagavi

Belagavi: The eighth edition of the International Kite Festival, organized by means of Parivartan Pariwar and hosted by means of former MLA Abhay Patil, got to vibrant and grand opening on the premises of Angadi Institute of Technology and Management at Savagaon Road right here on Saturday. Industrialist Dilip Chitnis kicked off the four-day tournament by means of flying kite within the presence of Industrialists P N Katwa, Maruti Kono, Patil and organizing head Chaitanya Kulkarni.

Dream Kite Group from Surat, Gujarat, stole the show on the first day with its variety of kites, particularly a 15kg dragon kite which weighs higher at 750kg once it reaches the sky. Nitesh Lukum, head of the group, stated that their workforce is known for flying kites with patriotic themes. The workforce also introduced laser kites and remote-controlled varietites to the development.


Sabrina Marshall from London, who has come to India for the primary time with her father Collin, stated she favored the people and weather in Belagavi. The father-daughter duo exhibited kites depicting quite a lot of cartoon characters like Superman.
