BHUBANESWAR: The pollution of ambient air in four industrial towns of the state — Kalinga Nagar, Talcher, Rajgangpur and Paradip — has been found to be past the permissible prohibit, wooded area minister Bijayshree Routray told the assembly in a written reply on Tuesday.
Routray's reply came in accordance with a question posed through Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray. "The actual pollution level may be more than even the readings. The pollution board should take strong punitive action for industries' failure to check air pollution," he stated.
Rajgangpur industrial the city tops the air pollution ratings with the monitoring stations there recording a PM 10 of 133 microgram in step with metre cube.
