NOIDA: Commuters remained stranded on the Shahdara bridge and the Captain Vijyant Thapar Marg till overdue Sunday night as mall guests ringing in the new 12 months thronged the Sector 18 market- Noida's industrial hub.
Snarls on the Film City highway and the Shahdara bridge began as early as 3 pm with and traffic motion remained sluggish right through Sunday night time till night.
The widened Shahdara drain proved slim for the ones coming into the DLF Mall of India from the Film City side as commuters remained caught for over 10 minutes as mall guests tried to get into the gate number four of the mall.

"This problem is because of too many malls in the area," a constable stated.

"We have tried to maintain smooth traffic throughout. Traffic slows down near the entry to the mall and commuter flowed in the Gurudwara too but we did not let the traffic stall," he stated.
