Noida cops bust online betting racket, 17 caught

NOIDA: UP-STF's Noida unit on Saturday night arrested 17 other people enthusiastic about on-line betting from other towns in Uttar Pradesh. The accused had created two betting web sites and made their web website hosting on international servers.
The accused recommended other people to play the net betting game and then manipulated the results without their wisdom. They were arrested from Allahabad, Agra and Sultanpur.

Triveni Singh, additional SP, STF, stated that a guy, Brajesh Kumar, had registered an FIR in Noida STF's Cyber Police Station on January 17. The complainant stated he gained a decision from an individual who presented him to the net lottery site - www.lakshyaindia.in. Kumar invested some cash and lost it. He then suspected doubtful activities and knowledgeable police concerning the subject.


Singh stated investigations revealed that the accused were working on-line lottery from other locations - Agra, Sultanpur and Allahabad. Based on the digital surveillance and IP addresses, police carried out raids and arrested 17 other people from 3 locations.


Sanjay Jaiswal, a resident of Allahabad, used to be the mastermind. He told police that he had created two fake web sites - www.vjackpot-.co.in, www.lakshyaindia-.in, and made their website hosting on international servers. "We made networks on different cities and urged people to play the betting game. They used to play the game and we manipulated the online results as the servers were in our control."


Police have recovered six laptops, 3 LEDs, 23 mobile phones and Rs 90,000 in cash. The accused were sent to judicial custody.
