Sebi to accept only online filing of records from April 1

NEW DELHI: Online submitting of records similar to provide documents, schemes of arrangement, takeovers and buybacks want to be submitted only on-line to Sebi from April 1, the markets regulator said on Friday.
In a round, Sebi famous that the simultaneous submitting of documents - physical and online- should get started from February 1 and continue until March 31, 2018.


Thereafter, from April 1, 2018 physical submitting of documents should be discontinued and only on-line submitting might be approved, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) said.


The regulator additionally requested the ones service provider bankers and recognised inventory exchanges which are required to file offer documents and draft scheme of arrangement in physical shape, to simultaneously put up the similar on-line through Sebi middleman portal.


Sebi has already recommended the registered service provider bankers and recognised inventory exchanges to turn on their on-line accounts.


In order to facilitate ease of operations, the regulator has introduced an internet machine for filings associated with public problems, rights problems, institutional placement programme, schemes of arrangement, takeovers and buybacks.
