KANPUR: A girl allegedly shot a legal professional after he had entered right into a scuffle along with her husband in the Parmat space in Gwaltoli police space of the town on Sunday. "On Sunday morning, when Sunil and his father Mishri Lal were coming back to their home after visiting Anandeshwar temple on a two-wheeler, he reportedly had some arguments with Mohit over some issue. Based on Sunil's sibling Guddan's version, Mohit turned violent and attacked Sunil", stated a senior police officer.
Guddan further alleged that thereafter Mohit's spouse Richa went within her space and came back to the spot with a double-barrel gun of her husband and opened fireplace at Sunil from a close range. The enraged Sunil's members of the family and locals chased and caught hang of Mohit and Richa and thrashed them critically in complete public view, the police officer further stated.
In the interim, Sunil succumbed to wounds. The police on being informed arrived on the spot and rescued Mohit and Richa from the irate mob. SSP Akhilesh Kumar Meena rushed to the spot and pacified the irate mob.
The forensic crew too reached the world. The police have seized the double-barrel gun used in the murder and launched an investigation in this regard.
SSP Meena stated, "A case has been registered against Mohit and his wife, and both of them are in police custody. Further investigations are on." The police pressure has been deployed in the space to diffuse stress, he added.
