Allahabad high court grants bail to ex-MP, wife

ALLAHABAD: The Allahabad top courtroom has ordered former BSP MP Narendra Kashyap and his wife Devendri Kashyap to be released on bail in reference to a dowry dying case filed via their daughter-in-law.
Both Kashyap, a former Rajya Sabha member, and his wife had filed a felony attraction before the top courtroom challenging the sentence awarded to them via a Sessions courtroom in Ghaziabad for abetment to suicide beneath Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

Kashyaps’ daughter-inlaw used to be discovered useless on April 6, 2016, and her in-laws had claimed that she had dedicated suicide the usage of her husband’s revolver.

The woman’s parents and relatives had alleged that she used to be killed via the Kashyap family over dowry.

An FIR used to be lodged on April 6, 2016 at Kabirnagar police station in Ghaziabad against six persons, including Kahsyap, for the alleged homicide.


The two were arrested on April 7, 2016.

However, the classes courtroom convicted them for abetment to suicide beneath phase 306 of Indian Penal Code and awarded a sentence of three-andhalf years to both of them.


During listening to, their counsel said: “They are old and there used to be no evidence about their involvement in the case.”
