MYSURU: Political tempers ran high at Chamundeshwari meeting phase on Sunday as JD(S) staff objected to CM Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra appearing a puja to release development works at Gejjagalli, leading to a scuffle between Congress and JD(S) staff.
JD(S) MLA from Chamundeshwari G T Devegowda launched an indefinite dharna on the district police place of job in Nazarbad, accusing police of manhandling party staff.
In the morning, Yathindra launched the groundwork to build a highway and drainage at Gajjagalli, which is a Lingayat-majority village off Mysuru-Nanjangud highway. While the rite used to be on, JD(S) activists led via GP member Lokesh arrived and asked Yathindra why native elected representatives were not invited to the development. Yathindra attempted to talk to them however altercations broke out between the employees of the 2 events.
Yathindra used to be mobbed, forcing law enforcement officials to intervene.
