LUCKNOW: Expelled BSP member Naseemuddin Siddiqui on Thursday formally joined Congress, at the side of his wife Husna and son Afzal, within the presence of Congress UP in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad and UP Congress leader Raj Babbar in New Delhi.
He additionally merged the Rashtriya Bahujan Morcha — a non-political organisation he had formed after his expulsion from BSP — with Congress. After joining, Siddiqui said he felt privileged on becoming part of country’s main political celebration. Later, he met Rahul Gandhi along with his supporters, including former BSP MLC OP Singh.
