GHAZIABAD: Some environmentalists have lodged lawsuits with the Uttar Pradesh government’s criticism cellular and the native police alleging that huge quantity of plastic and waste fabrics are being dumped along the Hindon riverbank in Raj Nagar Extension.
The complainants said no less than 50 truckloads of rubbish have been dumped on the web page over the past few days. The criticism assumes all of the extra significance because the National Green Tribunal (NGT) had threatened to impose environmental compensation on senior officials of the district management, Ghaziabad Development Authority and the municipal corporation if rubbish was once dumped along the Hindon river. It had even accepted the officials to impose a fine of Rs 20,000 on defaulters.

The order through the tribunal followed a an identical criticism through the environmentalists.

“Three years back, we had raised the same worry and one of the NGO members had even filed a petition within the NGT. The tribunal had pulled up the district government and ordered them to make proper preparations for rubbish disposal,” Sharma added.

But the government have turned a blind eye even after the sturdy statement of the tribunal.”

District Justice of the Peace Ritu Maheshwari said she was once no longer aware of the matter, however would get it checked. “Action will be taken towards the defaulters if the sort of factor is going on,” she added.
