CHENNAI: Chief minister Edappadi Okay Palaniswami on Wednesday indicated that AIADMK would not again the proposed no-confidence motion moved via TDP and YSR Congress in opposition to the Modi govt as their struggle is over 'special class status for AP', stories B Sivakumar. "TDP's notice for a no-confidence motion is for their own cause. We have been stalling the Parliamentary proceedings since the beginning of the session demanding that the Centre constitute the Cauvery Management Board or formulate a scheme as per the Supreme Court order. Palaniswami was replying to deputy leader of opposition S Duraimurugan, who attempted to corner the federal government with an immediate query on whether or not the AIADMK would fortify the proposed no-confidence motion.

“Cauvery water is our livelihood and our proper. While TDP was in the NDA and got berths in the Union cabinet, there have been BJP representatives in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet as well. AIADMK is neither in alliance with the BJP neither is it a constituent of the NDA. Their understand for a no-confidence motion is being given for their own motive.
