SOMPETA (SRIKAKULAM): An Indian Air Force helicopter made emergency landing in farm fields in Saradapuram village of Srikakulam district due to a technical glitch. Three persons have been within the chopper at the time of the incident. Luckily, there was once no causality or accidents to any person.
According to sources, the landing took place at round 2.30pm when the chopper was once on its strategy to Chennai in Tamil Nadu from Gopalpur in Odisha. Around 15 to 20 mins after the take-off from Gopalpur, pilot noticed technical snag evolved within the plane. The pilot was once compelled to land in agriculture fields on the outskirts of Saradapuram village. He tried to take-off however his efforts weren't successful.
The group of workers within the chopper ZA 441, informed the higher-ups. Almost after 3 hours the chopper was once in a position to take off following a team of technicians arrived from Vizag in any other helicopter to fix it, sources said. Both the helicopters flown clear of the realm at round 5.30pm to Gopalapur.
