NEW DELHI: The back-and-forth between political events over disgraced information research company, Cambridge Analytica (CA), endured on Thursday.
RJD leader and former Bihar deputy leader minister Tejashwi Yadav took a shot at JD(U)'s KC Tyagi, alleging that his son Amrish worked for CA, a price strongly denied via the senior celebration leader.
"Bihar CM Nitish's close confidante and one instrumental in JDU's's reunion with BJP- KC Tyagi's son Amrish Tyagi worked for #CambridgeAnalytica and helped it work for BJP as report confirms! Nitish & PM Modi has a lot to answer," tweeted Yadav.
On his section, the senior Tyagi sought to dispel rumours of collusion, clarifying that his son's corporate and CA simplest had a "work relation."
"There was only a work relation between my son Amrish's company and Cambridge Analytics. There is no financial transaction or shareholding, everything is open to probe. JD(U) also has no links with this, neither did they promote us in 2010 polls," ANI quoted him as pronouncing.
"JD(U) has no relation with Cambridge Analytics, neither has its CEO ever met Nitish ji or me. In any case, JD(U) is a socialist outfit and we stay away from such things, except for maybe Prashant Kishore ji helping us during last assembly polls," the JD(U) leader added.
However, Yadav refused to just accept Tyagi's clarification.
"Name of the company coming out in this matter is in the BJP client list, run by KC Tyagi's son. JD(U) general secretary's son is involved and JD(U) is saying that we do not know anything," he later alleged.
Amrish is the managing director of Ovleno Business Intelligence (OBI), an Indian affiliate of CA's mum or dad corporate Strategic Communications Laboratories, reported ANI.
CA is accused of illegally mining the non-public information of Facebook customers to steer the US elections. Both the BJP and the Congress accuse every other of getting hyperlinks with, or the use of the products and services of, the British company.
