COIMBATORE: Calling upon the BJP-led executive at the Centre and the Congress in Karnataka to change their stand regarding Cauvery Management Board, Tamil Maanila Congress leader G Okay Vasan has prompt political parties in Tamil Nadu to level a joint protest in New Delhi.
Talking to newshounds in the city on Friday, Vasan said action of the Centre in regards to Cauvery factor has raised doubts if it was a democratic executive or a dictatorial one. “The central executive has betrayed the folk of Tamil Nadu,’’ he said.
He said TMC will cling a meeting in Trichy with district functionaries on Saturday. “On April 1, we will meet representatives from farmer associations. The subsequent day we will cling a protest in front of collector’s place of job in Chennai,’’ he said. “We are making plans to organize a series of protests to mount pressure at the central and state governments for putting in CMB,’’ he added. Vasan said that each one political parties should sign up for palms and mount a united protest against the Centre and Karnataka governments in New Delhi. “The TN executive should take the initiative for such a protest,’’ he said.
