Driver suffers heart attack, stops bus to save passengers

Chennai: After suffering a middle attack on Tuesday, a central authority bus motive force pulled over and parked the vehicle by means of the roadside to avoid wasting a minimum of 40 passengers, sooner than he died.
On Tuesday morning, Sundararaj, a motive force hooked up to the Avadi depot, was once driving a fully packed bus plying against Red Hills.

As the bus approached Thiruvallur Road, the 52-year-old motive force appeared to be in misery and knowledgeable the conductor that he was once feeling nauseous. However, he persisted to power the vehicle.

Minutes later, Sundararaj clenched his fist over his chest and regarded tormented, witnesses advised police.


However, he controlled to park the bus by means of the roadside, stated D Anand, one of the passengers. He immediately fainted and fell over the steerage wheel.


Avadi police stated passersby called 108 emergency services but he had suffered an enormous middle attack by means of then and was once declared dead.


A senior MTC professional stated that compensation worth Rs 1-Rs 1.five lakh can be provided to his circle of relatives from the employees’ welfare fund besides terminal benefits including provident fund and pension.
